Years Go By

I was playing around on my phone and found this app. I was really excited, because I haven't blogged in so long. I post everything on Facebook. So I did the Navi post last night, and afterward we checked the blog online. We looked all the way back to the beginning. I can't believe it started in April of 2007! Where has the time gone?

I've said I'd be better before, but now this is at my fingertips! ( hope the new phone has this app available)

It's been just about a week since we received our new addition, and she's fitting in nicely. If you haven't heard the story here's the short version.

A customer called Tim at Monroe to say that her friend was driving from King's Mountain and she heard a weird sound under her hood, that sounded like a cat. Sure enough when the car got to the shop the hood was opened, the kitten jumped out. No one wanted her, so he brought her home. Looks like she's staying.

Happy New Year!

Happy 2012!! I can't believe how quickly this year flew by. I seems like only yesterday we were celebrating Christmas 2010, and prepping for Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Well, that came and went, and it was a huge hit, I got new job in Feb. After waiting and not really finding anything, I was beginning to get concerned, and then God gave me this one. I have great co-workers, and good benefits, and what more could a girl ask for? Boys are doing great, Jake and Nikki are almost together 2 years, and he took her to meet the Smolzer side, and visit Chicago. Kris found someone who enjoys her, and she enjoys him. They celebrated their first anniversay this week. Speaking of Anniversaries - 25 years for me and the old guy. So what do we expect for this year. We hope to get back Chicago, all 6 of us for a family visit. We need to get healthy, work on the kitchen, finish up some unfinished projects. Enjoy more time, so next year, it doesn't feel like it flew by. Happy New Year, to any of you who still might check this blog!

The Perfect Christmas Card Picture

At this time of year I have to decide if I'm going to use a picture of the boys as my card or just put a picture of them in my card. With the popularity of social networking sites, and this blog in the past, people can easily see pictures of my boys if they really wanted to. Maybe we don't them in a card this year? I took this really pretty picture of the house last year when we had snow. The blue shutters and red bows really stand out against the snow. It's perfectly drapped on the limbs of the evergreens, and even Tim's truck adds a nice splash of blue. BUT...the garage behind the neighbors is in the picture, and if I crop it to loose that, it brings everything in larger, meaning...now you see the thing that houses the hose, and my garbage can!!! Perhaps we'll pick up some cards and go with that this year.

Wow, It's Late

It's nearly one in the morning and I've just been hopping around the internet for a bit. I need to go to bed. Nothing really to get up for in the morning. It's my first official bank holiday, and I get paid for it. What? A paid holiday? The craziest thing ever. I am learning my job a bit more and enjoying it. Hopefully this is something I can do for a long time. Happy Memorial Day Everyone!
