He's Everywhere!
I do enjoy Morgan Freeman in a movie. Whether he's playing a painted man, or dying of some terminal illness, I've never been let down. Even as Easy Reader - he was so cool!!!! Catch him in theatres in the Bucket List, and on dvd next week in Feast of Love, and the 12th in Gone Baby Gone.

Fifi's Wall of Art
I figured I'd better post something or Meghan will get really nasty with me! So I was sitting on the steps in Fifi's place, and I was looking at her "Gallery" wall, and I remembered I had my camera in my purse(you never know when you'll find something to blog) and I thought what the heck. I actually have 2 pictures on her wall. I have the 2nd on the top row - it's a picture of Fifi's building, looking up from the street, and the veritcal one on the bottom, which is picture of the sign at Shelby Cafe. There are pictures by 5 other - friends and relatives of Fifi's as well. Can you find your art work? Or do you have something for the "Gallery"?

Snow Day!!!
Zach woke up at 7:20 this morning and ran into my room "it snowed!!!" He yelled. I already knew that, I had been watching for school closings since 6:20, and I eventually had to check the website to see,(since my favorite news station wasn't informing me)there's no school today. To our friends and family in MN and IL, you can quit laughing now. We did get about 2 inches of snow, and it changed over to sleet, freezing rain - wintry mix as they call it. The last time we had an inch of snow was Feb. 2005, and the last time we had more than that was the Feb. Max was born 2004. Of course ice storms are a different thing. So - happy snow day to us!
(and just as a note, Zach was bundled up and out the door by 7:30 to check it out - I now have snow ball in my freezer as a treasure of winter) :)

Birthday Brunch
Busy morning - Jake was Crucifer at church and I was Installed today as a new Council Member. Now the fun begins - huh???? Afterward we went to Ham's for Grandma's birthday. We were all there, there are pictures of all of us, because the camera got passed around. However, this is all you get - the rest would send you running. :)

Friday Night Sleepover
Yesterday I cleared some of the furniture in the living room, and shampooed the carpet. It made for all kinds of fun adventures - during the day Max used the furniture that was pushed to one corner as a fort. At night the boys took the opportunity to spread out with blankets and pillows while they watched Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End. They didn't intend on falling asleep there - but when I came home, this is what I found.

Retro Monday

Growing up my parents always took slides. We'd get home from vacation and a week or so later we'd gather around the screen, and reflect on the great trip we had. Same for Christmas, sporting events and what not. Today, I take my kids pictures and they can hardly wait to see who I'm going post on the blog. All of which can take about 5 minutes from the click of camera to the "View Post". My Dad recently got a new toy that lets him convert his slides to disc. I benefit, because all of those pictures I loved so much growing up, are now at my fingertips and I can watch them or download them. Every Monday, we'll do a retro day - and I'll give you a little flash back. Today's picture comes from Christmas '67.

The Biltmore
Today, Bootie, Fifi, Gert, Me and my 4 guys all headed up to Asheville to see the Biltmore. Surprisingly, they all had a good time. We toured the house, visited the candy and toy shops and headed over to the winery, where we sampled 5 different types of wine each. Max and I took the picture of the house from the Koi pond, and picture number two is of Bootie and Jake going through the wine list. (They kept trying to give Jake wine)
