A Touch of Color

I try to love the front of my house, I just don't have a lot of time to play there. So, I do try to get a little color out front for every season. Azaleas in the spring, Day lilies in the summer, Mums in the fall and in winter my little Heather bushes turn lavender! They look really pretty right now, and come spring, they'll just be green again.

Boy's Room - Flip Side

So, when Tim started this project, he moved the boys closet. When he did this, it took a couple of feet from the one wall, but it's still a nice size room, and it also closed up the other wall where the old closet was, so they kind of gained wall space and we.........gained more closet space. It's kind of hard to tell, Tim's got a little closet but his is deep, and mine, has shelves and bars, and I have it mostly filled - but there's always room for more!

Retro Monday

I know it's only Sunday, but I have a meeting tomorrow after work, and didn't know if I would time. I thought this would be a good one - Bootie looks like she's dressed for the Oscars!

Boy's Room

Tim put the closet organizer in this week, so while he and Jake were away, I filled the closet with clothes. (the tall guys filled in the games before they left.)

Friday Night at B-n-P's

Max and Zach spent Friday night at Bootie and Poppa's since Tim and Jake were in Greensboro for LYO Assembly, and I worked till midnight. I got to have an evening to myself!!! And yes, at midnight I stayed up and watched "Awake" and ate ice cream in my bed. These pictures were taken Saturday morning when I picked up the boys.

Dedication

I woke up to this song again this morning. Ever since we got in a movie called Dedication - this song plays in my head, every time I put it back on the shelf. I have not watched the movie, but I can't believe the Bay City Rollers had anything to do with it.

Lunar Eclipse?

NO...........Just a cookie the size of Max's moon shaped melon! We had busy morning with a pre-k interview, swing by Daddy's store, and birthday money spending at Walmart(Transformers, Cars and Turtles later), Max needed a little snack with all the running around. The cookie is from the Gingerbread House here in Shelby.

Pictures from Last Week #2

Friday, Max and I headed over to see our girls at the bank. After saying it for 4 years, Max finally has a savings account. He enjoyed looking at the shells on Miss Carol's desk, while Mommy did the paperwork

Pictures from Last Week #1

In between the 53 hours I worked last week, I did get to do a few things with the boys. Thursday, Bootie, Max and I went to Zach's classroom for Valentine's Day. The party rapped up at 2:30, so we grabbed Zach early and headed over to the high school. We were early so we hit the McDonald's for a snack and a chance to run of the fruit punch and ice cream cake from the party.

Boy's Room - Saturday #3

The walls are up and sanded, so Jake, his friend Casey and the little guys were able to paint today. It's grey - Mom picked it, because I wanted something neutral for the Optimus and Jack clings we have, and the many many posters that will cover every inch of the wall. Good Job Guys!

DoNot!!!!!!!!!

If you see some comments by Malabei that say click "here" - please don't. I don't know what the heck it is, but it triggers Norton and that can't be good.

Jake's Banquet

Last night Jake had his football banquet, and the boys received this medal. It isn't the ring of years passed - but there's always next year. Go Lions!!!!

Retro Monday

Today's picture is of my Uncle Lee and comes from Christmas 1964. Lee is vacation in the lovely town of Shelby, NC and staying at the B & P - B & B! The boys love it when we have visitors, but Max loves the fact that Uncle Lee likes trains, and Zach enjoyed doing his homework with someone who used to teach school.

Boy's Room Saturday.....

While Fifi and I took Zach and Max out, Tim and Jake were busy putting the dry wall up in the boys room (for a new closet and wall) and our closet - which will be really nice.

M & M's

While we were at the mall yesterday, Fifi treated the boys to some M & M's. They had a variety of colors to choose from, and she let each boy pick out their own. Jake was not with us, so we chose black and gold - Shelby colors for him. We decided Zach is conservative - picking the colors you would normally have in a bag of M & M's and Max likes things that co-ordinate. What would your M & M's say about you.

Birthday Celebration #3

Ok, so lucky boy got to go to Build a Bear today with Fifi. He has one bear from there, but he didn't remember making it, so today was kind of big for him. He picked out a triceritops, and named him Jack. While he was having it stuffed, Zach and I found a cool outfit for Jack. Together they fluffed him, they made his birth certificate and then he was ready to go home with us. While Zach and I made a pit stop Fifi and Max put Jack in his clothes - I think he looks awesome!!! Thank you Fifi!

Boy'sRoom Weekend #2

Tim took a personal day today to work on the boy's room project. Here you can see the new framing for all the closets.

Happy Birthday Max!

This is one of my favorite pictures of my littlest monkey and his Daddy. It was taken about 2 weeks after he was born.

Celebrating Birthday #4 Day 2

Max celebrated his birthday at school on Wednesday, and last night we went to R.J. Gator's for dinner (since Tim and I were both home at night). After a lovely dinner of chicken fingers and fries, (pretty much fries only)he was serenaded by a lovely bunch of wait staff, and then they threw whipped cream in his face. He was not to happy with that, but enjoyed the ice cream that followed!

Cupcakes for the Birthday Boy!

Max's birthday is Friday, but he only goes to school on Monday and Wednesday, so today he took cupcakes, with animal sprinkles to school.

Boy's Room Day 2

All because I wanted to paint!!!! Tim got the window closed in yesterday after I left for work, and he got the framing up for the new closet and book shelf while we were at church. Once we got home, he ripped into our closet with the help or Jake and Zach. Zach's job was to pull out the nails, but he seems to be having trouble with that one!

The Open Window

The window is out - so now what? Zach was outside when I spotted the Frisbee! I think you can see it in mid air as I snapped this picture. (What a huge space!)

Beginning the Boy's Room

After much discussion, we agreed that the boy's window needed to come out. It was one of my favorite things when we looked at the house, but time and the elements have rotted the support and the window is sagging and shifting to a point that it's not aligned right anymore, and we lose heat and it's probably not safe for much longer. That being said, the window comes out today, and Tim's remodel for the boys' room begins. I will keep you posted as this progresses. In the meantime, the kitchen expansion is put on hold. (I guess it's because I said - I'm gonna paint the boy's room and bought the paint???)

An Empty Room!

The boys cleared their room so Tim could start working on it. So, what do you do in an empty room - Play Football!!! (or change your clothes - as Max appears t be doing)

Breakfast With Max

Every Friday we drop Jake, then we drop Zach, and usually the PTO ladies are out there selling Chick-fil-a chicken biscuits for 2 bucks. Today all they had were sausage!! So, Max and I headed over to the Chick-fil-a by the Super Wal-mart and enjoyed our chicken biscuits and a little play time before grocery shopping.
