Happy Birthday Logan!

After Logan, Max and Zach had an afternoon with Thomas, we all got together for cake.
Happy 4th!

Fun Fair!

We headed to the fair early on Saturday morning. If you go before 10, it's only $2.00 and Max is free! Our first stop was games. We came home with several stuff animals, swords and bows and arrows. Blew $20+ in about 1/2 an hour. But we had fun!

Next stop were the animals, we watched a cow get a shower, a horse show, didn't want to pick up chicks this year, a big turkey gobbled at Max and made him scream, and the goat in the pic had a staring contest with Max, and won.

Time for food - fries and RC. Technically they should've eaten them with salt and vinegar, but.......no. Max also enjoyed a pretzel as big as his head.

We wrapped it up with the displays in the exhibit hall. The boys actually took in a lot of the 4H farm displays and loved the Lego display.

No rides you may ask - we'll save 'em for Thursday when we head over there with Fifi, since Zach and I don't ride rides.

Tomorrow's Project...

...get this young man out of the chair! He did paint tonight, but there's a crapper full of laundry behind him, and grass to cut, weeds to whack, (it rained today, so he couldn't)......

Tonight's Project....

......rollin'. Tim taped and sanded the new dry wall in the boys room before he left (side wall) and he left us with task of priming it while he's away so he can fix any imperfections when he gets home (I don't see any). Max really got into it. In fact he let Jake, Sarah and I have brushes while he did all the rolling.

Today's Project....

...toy hell! I should've taken a picture when I had all of the bins you see tossed upside down in the center of the floor. Jake will be working on moving out the building supplies in the next few weeks, so the we had to make the "play area" tidy.
(it was so much easier to do with both of them in school.)

Just Because

I asked Tim to pick up buns for burgers last night, and he came home with these too!

Yearbook Yourself - Max

So, if Zach's picture is from 1952, then Max is from 1954, and this is what he would look like.

Sunday's Flowers

Sunday's altar flowers are in celebration of Papa's birthday, by his grandsons. Mom and I ran (she's not running really) to Lowe's to get some pretty mums, I think we did good.

First of the Season

Usually Tim gets his first pumpkin pie for his birthday - 9/27 - but since he'll be in Illinois for his birthday this year, I thought I would go ahead and make it while I was home yesterday - and...........it's gone as I type!!

Yearbook Yourself

Ok, so Fifi downloaded these really fun pictures of family members at yearbookyourself.com, and put them on her ipod. She didn't have a picture of Zach, so when I was playing around tonight I thought I would try to find the site and see what I could do. This is what I came up with. Zach definately looks like Tim's side of the family!

Dinner!

After spending the day at Bootie's (she fell Saturday morning - but I promised I wouldn't put her walker picture on) we went and had dinner at El Titanic.

Good Cookie!

Where's My Book Bag?

Thursday I remembered to take the camera to school, I wanted a picture of Max out front, but he was on the move, back to the car to his book bag.

First Day

It's Max's first day of all day Pre-K. He did fine going this morning once he got there, but we spent the first 30 minutes at home yelling "I don't want to go to school" and this is the only picture I could get!

Sunday in the Pool

Jump on Jake! Now hold it................

Senior Pictures!

Jake had his senior pictures taken right before school went back. They are so grown up! Of course they say proof all over them, so I can't copy and post them, but if you want to check them out or order one for your own keeping you can access them below. (and yes, he still had his blondish hair)

Lunch!

There's a new Chinese Buffet in town called Yummy. Fifi, Max and I visited them today for lunch. I enjoyed the sushi, and Max loved the fries, he says they were "yummy". :)

Wii Fit

I am told Max is 14, yesterday he was 24. I don't think I want to know how old I am!

Home for a Gnome

Mid-summer the boys and I were at K-mart and they had a whole wall of Gnomes for sale - $9 to $12. I wanted to take this little one home and put him at the base of the stairs where two of my really pretty roses live, and Zach just laughed at me a rolled his eyes. Then about two weeks ago, we happened to be at K-mart because Zach saw a Darth Vader book bag there. We wandered around and low and behold, there was my little Gnome friend. All alone - the shelves and shelves of other elves were gone! Zach let me bring this little guy home, and I think he looks quite happy to be here.

Rain and ...........

...........mushrooms! After last week's rain these guys popped up all over our lawn!

Back to Sunday

So anyway - Meghan asked me why am I'm such a slacker on the blog lately, and I have to tell you, the kids are sleeping in the office. I know that's not much of an excuse, but I try to get in and out and off the computer quickly, since it's kind of their room for now.

Sunday everyone came over and swam. Zach and Logan enjoyed the pool, even after everyone else got out.
