Fine Dining
When we moved into our house, it was just the three of us and baby on the way. I really didn't put a lot of thought into it. It was cute, it had a pool, and a basketball net(which I backed into and took out 2 weeks into moving in), it had a basement - which was something Tim had wanted, and the yard was a good size, neighbors quiet, not busy, but....we did add Zach, and then Max, and the house is small. Tim has been working on projects non-stop since Max came - 5 years ago. While he works in the kitchen, we decided to put the table in the living room. This at least gives the little guys a place other than the coffee table to eat, and if the rest of us so desire, we can pull up a chair too!

What A Differance A Day Makes!
Right before bed last night, we finished straightening up the room. I say "we" because I was pretty much done with Legos and puzzle pieces, so, if they wanted to keep them, they had to help. Everything now has a bin, and the bins can rotate with the bins in the basement playroom. I even got Max to go through some of the clothes in his closet! He got rid of 5 pair of his pants (for Logan) and picked up 2 pair of cargos (one that zips off to shorts), a pair of grey wide legged camos, and 2 pair of jeans that were Zach's. It's good to go through your stuff sometimes!

Taking A Little Break
The new hours at work are still a bit of an adjustment for the family. Last week wasn't so bad and the week before - the same, because I had inventory, so I went in after hours to do that, and worked only till 5 or 6 the rest of the week. This week however, in order to get in my 45 hours, and with the week day operating hours being 12 to 9, I have worked open to close. I don't mind - I was going in at 8 or 9 and staying till 6 or 7, so a 10 hour shift is nothing - it's the time frame that's killer. Tim, has been a champ since Jake works nights too, so he's been with the little guys at night by himself! (which, let me just say, will!!! drive you koo koo for cocoa puffs!) So while I'm having fun at work finding new ways to destroy dvds (Matt melted them in big stacks last night with the shrink wrap gun).....

......Tim has been at home, with the boys. Last night they cleaned their room. This morning, Zach couldn't find his shoes. So, being as cleaning - just means toss it in in a bin. I untossed it. I have been working on going through Legos, Army men, action figures, puzzle pieces, all morning. I am going to work for a bit, and after school we will finish this ever fun project. Perhaps, next time, Zach will think about leaving his shoes out, and not throwing them in with his toys. :)

Valentine's Day Program
Tonight was Zach's Valentine's Day program at school. All the first grade classes got together and under the direction of Mr. Harper (music teacher, and one of Max's favorites) they sang songs of love at the monthly PTO meeting. Tonight was also the fund raiser with Outback supplying dinner (didn't eat) and the Art Fair, in which you could buy your child's artwork, matted and framed for only $37.00. The picture is fuzzy, but I didn't have to fade out anyone who didn't give me permission, and we all know Zach is the tall one with his hands in his pockets.
Sunday In The Park
First Grade V-Day
Friday I had the honor of celebrating Valentine's Day with Zach's class. (0ne of my many hats - room parent - yay!) It really was a lot of fun, we had ice cream cake - one of children belongs to the family that own our local DQ - and some other snacks. Ms. Wall read them a Valentine story and then some of the kids helped her hand out the Valentine's and we spent about 20 minutes just looking through them. I picked up Max early and he was having ice cream cake in class too, the cousin of the girl in Zach's class is in Max's! Very lucky and yummy - indeed.

Happy Valentine's Day! (a little early)

Fat Tuesday Graphics
You would think that with our hours changing and having more time in morning that I would get back to blogging on more frequent basis. Not the case - sorry, for all of you who like to see updates on the knuckleheads. I promise to get my crap together and try harder. I am wishing all of you a very Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow. I will be at work from 9am to 11pm. I hope to rent all kinds of love stories and sell all kinds of fancy chocolate in the next two days! :) I'm off and running to spend my afternoon at a Zach's first grade Valentine's Day party, and then to work. I should be back here by Sunday, Fifi said "maybe we can go to the park" to the boys yesterday, and they heard "we will go to the park on Sunday" that's always a decent photo op. Till then - hope love is the air for you!

Happy Birthday Max!
Max's Day: Wake up - wake Mommy up to tell her it's your birthday. Get to choose breakfast - pancakes. Go to church, (nursery, Mom and Jake are in charge today) play dodgeball or dodgedoll, whatever you can throw around with your brothers and Samantha without hitting Deyvn or Ruth Ann. Leave church, stop at Bootie's for a drink and re-group to head to Gastonia. Eat lunch, play games, have fun at Chuck E. Cheese's. Head back to Bootie's. Play outside with Zach and Logan for 2 hours. Come in have cake, open gifts, play a game with Zach, Logan and Fifi. Head home. Take a long bath with lots of bubbles and fizzies. Have a snack, play with Zach, check out the pictures from the day, get ready for bed while Mom updates the blog.

Here They Come!
Daddy brought in a surprise tonight before dinner. A box for Max had arrived at his store. Tim unloaded it, and Max was kind enough to pose with his loot prior to the paper shredding. He received a lot of fun gifts, games, puzzles, legos and other toys. Pretty exciting stuff. Although he is a wiz at puzzles, Zach and I couldn't help but enjoy putting this one together, there's even hidden surprises! Then we played a couple rounds of a contect four, but this one rotates! Max won, Zach won, Max won, and Zach put it away............
Just Plain Odd
Last night we were looking for 100 things for Zach to take to school, for the celebration of 100 days. I just wanted to do cereal, or something lame like that, but he and Bootie started with what continued to be "things you would find in a junk drawer". Nails, pins, rubberbands, rabies tags, old keys, paperclips, foreign coins, buttons, just fun odd stuff. Well, while we were searching in my drawer, Max came upon his cap from the hospital when he was born. He proceeded to wear it the rest of the night........just a bit odd, cute, goofy.........
