The Perfect Christmas Card Picture

At this time of year I have to decide if I'm going to use a picture of the boys as my card or just put a picture of them in my card. With the popularity of social networking sites, and this blog in the past, people can easily see pictures of my boys if they really wanted to. Maybe we don't them in a card this year? I took this really pretty picture of the house last year when we had snow. The blue shutters and red bows really stand out against the snow. It's perfectly drapped on the limbs of the evergreens, and even Tim's truck adds a nice splash of blue. BUT...the garage behind the neighbors is in the picture, and if I crop it to loose that, it brings everything in larger, meaning...now you see the thing that houses the hose, and my garbage can!!! Perhaps we'll pick up some cards and go with that this year.

Wow, It's Late

It's nearly one in the morning and I've just been hopping around the internet for a bit. I need to go to bed. Nothing really to get up for in the morning. It's my first official bank holiday, and I get paid for it. What? A paid holiday? The craziest thing ever. I am learning my job a bit more and enjoying it. Hopefully this is something I can do for a long time. Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

Update

I can't believe it, I've blown this off again. I actually took the time to see if any of the blogs I used to follow have been updated and low and behold! Two of them have. I'd better get back on the ball, and instead of posting pics on Facebook all the time, a few here wouldn't hurt. BTW the find of the day from Feb. 17th, I gave away at the Mother and Daughter luncheon.

My Birthday

Yesterday was my 47th birthday. The day started like any other with taking the boys to school. I worked at noon, and when I arrived, my teller window was decorated with streamers and they had a crown for me to wear. What a nice surprise! After work Max and I went to church for the Lenten service and when we got home Tim and I went to Don Ramon's - www.shelbystar.com/articles/open-52633-​don-ramon.html - for a late dinner, courtesy of Jake and Nikki. This past Sunday I celebrated with my family. All in all it's been really nice, and not crazy. No heavy drinking no huge parties, one really great cake. Happy Birthday to me!

Find of the Week

This week when I went to help out at Restore they had 2 insulators on the shelf. Now, I like the color of the glass, but they are not for me. Fifi uses them in a candle holder and was looking for a few more - yay! At 3.75 a piece before my discount she was fairly happy. Although, I think she was hoping they were a dollar - like all the goodies I tend to pick up.

Blue and Gold

Zach had his Blue and Gold Banquet on Monday night. He was the one to carry in the flag and he did it with great pride. I really didn't think he'd take to Scouts, but he seems to be enjoying it. I earned his Bear badge and 3 beads!

Today's Find

So, it rained this morning and I didn't go walking with Kim. I did go to Restore today though, and did my usual straighten and tidy up thing - not bad. It seems like if I could get over there at least once a week, I could play with stuff all the time - get the merchandising part of me satisfied. Anyway, whenever I'm cleaning up I always seem to find something I like. Last week I saw this planter and I do have a little plant that I would like to put in it. I was thinking at a dollar it wouldn't still be there this week. Apparently, I am the only one to see the beauty in this item. Picked up 2 golf clubs too - all for under $3.00!

Two Months???

Gosh, where has time flown? Last post was in December when were ringing the bell in the mall!!!! Christmas has come and gone, New years has come and gone. Mom and Dad celebrated their 50th anniversary. (all of these things of course I've posted to Facebook, and I've forgotten you!) Tim was sick and now he's better, Jake got promoted. Max turned 7!!! Yes, my baby is 7. Job searching is going well, could have something soon. Finished my second computer class today. Met some great people, learned a little bit beyond the email, blogging, social network, which is excellent. Let's see what I can add to you tomorrow. Walking with Kim in the morning, maybe I'll take the camera to the square :)
