Cupcakes for the Birthday Boy!
Max's birthday is Friday, but he only goes to school on Monday and Wednesday, so today he took cupcakes, with animal sprinkles to school.
I tell ya, it's nice to see there is still a place in America where you can bring homemade treats to school to share with your classmates on your birthday. Just the other day, someone at work was talking about how their kids are NOT allowed to bring ANYTHING homemade for treat day and whatever they do bring has to be store bought and in wrappers with the ingredients clearly marked. I sure miss the good old days when you could bring cupcakes with animal sprinkles to school and not have to worry about being hauled before a committee. Oh yeah, and when you could swing upside-down on the monkey bars while looking down at nothing but the cold, hard asphalt of the playground ten feet below your unprotected melon! I hope you get to do that too, Max. Even if you can’t, you're still living the perfect childhood. Happy Birthday!
