Time Flies!
So, sorry dear blog readers, but my time has been taken up by my job for the last few weeeeeeeeeeks! As of 11am this morning I am on my own time, to carve pumpkins, finish costumes, make some crafts for the ladies luncheon, trick or treat, party at B & P's, and serve lunch to a bunch of Lutheran ladies, and then head back to BB. I hope to snap a few photos in between. I'll keep you posted and thank you for checking the blog. (time to make a belt for Obi Wan.........)

The Boys Are Back............

Congrats Mike and Dana!

Saturday night my staff and I headed over to the American Legion Hall in King's Mountain to celebrate our Assistant Manager Mike's wedding. The couple looked lovely, their photographer is doing such an awesome job,(check out Brandywine Photography on myspace), the cake was good, and the company really a lot of fun, since we never see each other outside of work. Other things might not have been the norm for other weddings I have attended, and was told that I am like a Mom to my staff, and I look like the Snapple Lady (who by the way has one of the best attitudes on the planet.) and one of my employees got kicked out, and by the end I had a good buzz going - which I don't usually do, and Tim I think had a good time sober, which at weddings he doesn't usually do...............anyway, we wish Mike and Dana all the best in their life together! ( updated the picture today - Dana has some fab pics on her myspace of the two of them, I hope she doesn't mind)

My Color!
As you can see from the post before, NC has some nice fall colors, and those pictures were taken last week when we were heading home from Cherokee. This week, I have my very own beautiful fall colors in the front of the house! My Mums have taken over! Like a good girl I kept cutting them back till the 4th of July, and this is what I have. We always have some color up front, Azaleas in the spring, Day Lillies in the summer, Mums in the fall and in the winter the Heather turns lavender. Each plant gets their season to shine - but I think the Mums have out done them all this year!
(and if you look close, you will see I need to do some major cutting, weeding, pruning, etc.)

Where's Kelly?

In just a couple of hours Kim, Nikki, Fifi and I will head up to Cherokee to celebrate Fifi's birthday with girl's night away. ( Bootie usually joins us, but she's still not ready for that, hopefully by her birthday Papa can whisk her away.)
I am hoping Fifi has a REALLY good birthday, so send some good karma her way and don't forget to wish her a "Happy" on the 12th!

R.I.P. Swimmy
We hardly knew ya. Max won a fish at the fair on Thursday night and Friday morning I went out and bought him a bowl(I couldn't find ours) and food, and rocks. And...when the boys came home from B&P's last night, they called me to see if I fed him, because he wasn't really swimming and they thought he looked hungry. He kept laying on his side. (why do I let them play the fish game???) This morning he was floating so Daddy took care of him. Max was cool with it, like "Fair" fish always die.

Up, Up and Away
Saturday at the fair, some of the stands were giving out free balloons. I usually avoid such things, as they tend to get in my line a vision when I drive, pop unexpectedly - scaring the crap out of me, or if they make it into the house they tend to gravitate to rooms with ceiling fans - very uncool. On this particular occasion though, I did allow it, and Max took one from the Debbie Clary (I think that's her name) booth. On the way out of the fairgrounds I heard this blood curdling scream! My balloon! Before I could jump and grab it (ya, that would be a sight) it was off into the sky. You can see a little red speck in the vast greyness of this picture, and that my friends is Max's balloon. The biggest deal to him and completely free. :(
Finally!
