Yard Sale

Earlier today we had a yard sale. Well, it really wasn't in the yard, it was in the 3 season room (that's what I call it) anyway... The weather was crap, so we are going to try again in a couple weeks, once Olivia is here and Kim feels up to it. Things to have out - crappy t-shirts that a 19 year old no longer wants....

Bump(s)

By this time next week - the new baby will be here!

Your Baby Can Read!

So, this commercial comes on this morning while the boys are getting dressed and I didn't even pay attention till Zach pipes up with "that's crazy!" We sat there in amazement as these little people read from cards and identified objects or actually read at the age of 2. Max had a lot more to say - "babies can't read, they wouldn't know what a book said" (I'm guessing he believes there's no comprehension) and then he agreed with Zach's comment - "that's so crazy", they continued to be amused by it all the way to school.

Who's In Town?

Ok, so from my previous post you know that we had some church things going on this week. Bishop Leonard Bolick was in town to listen to the people of our church as to why or why not we should lose our Pastor. He sat in a room for 3 days from 9 to 9, with 3 other people listening to all the feelings a opinions and everything...Anyway, I hung out at church on and off for those 3 days, greeting people, making meals, and just being there. When I had a chance to speak, we ended up talking about Jake - and how he should go to the Seminary!

Bishop Bolick was back today, to give us results of the interviews, and I'm happy to say that Pastor is going to stay. Yay!

I Forgot

Did you ever take on more than you thought? You think you have all your bases covered and then out of the blue - something has slipped by, something so important, and you just forgot about it, because you got caught up in something else.
I did that. The boys had a Read-a-thon this week, and I blew that off, I really did - I just couldn't even think about it very much and I wasn't home, and that's really disappointing. But...the big one, was Max's first Kindergarten project - a mini him. The teacher sent it home at the first of the year, due last Monday I believe, but I was too caught up in church things, and my boss's visit, I completely forgot about it. So, the next project (a pumpkin) came home with a note as to how good the mini-me's look in the hall, (but not Max's) and I nearly died. Today, between regular church and the Bishop's visit, we all got together and helped Max with his Mini-me. He colored his black pants and shoes, I helped with the hair, Dad drew the face, and Max wanted him to wear one of his T-shirts - and this is what he looks like:
